What is OCI?:
OCI, on-campus interviewing, occurs at most if not all law schools. During OCI, legal employers, usually large law firms, public interest organizations, and government agencies, send representatives to law schools to interview 2Ls and sometimes 3Ls for either summer or full-time positions.
When does OCI occur?:
OCI usually occurs during the fall semester, although some schools also have spring OCI; if the school also has a spring OCI, it may also be open to 1Ls. Check with your school's career development office for details.
How does OCI work?:
Law schools' OCI procedures vary greatly with some schools requiring sign-ups by certain deadlines and/or "bidding" on preferred interviews. It is best to check with your school's career development office for details on this process.
