Top Tier Law Schools

By

What Are the "Top Tier Law Schools?":

Generally top tier law schools are those ranked in the top 100 of the U.S. News & World Report rankings; the remaining schools are then divided into the third tier and fourth tier, but those schools are not ranked individually within the lower two tiers.

Should I Only Consider Attending Top Tier Law Schools?:

Most future law students aim to gain admittance to top tier law schools, especially those in the T14, because usually graduates of those schools enjoy the broadest range of employment opportunities as their schools are well-respected throughout the country.

That said, many other schools in the top tier and beyond also have strong local reputations, so that is something you should also consider if you are relatively sure you want to practice in a certain location.
