Have you heard of Legal Summer, LLC? It is a new web-based system to create a network exclusively for law students and legal employers.
According to the company's founder and CEO Philip D. Amoa, "At no cost, students are able to build professional profiles, upload their resumes as well as other application documents, and disclose their current employment status. Jobseekers can either wait for employers to find them on the network or elect to browse over 1,000 employers, filter results by different criteria (location, practice area(s), firm-size, and more) and send applications directly to the contact person of the employer they select."
Amoa originally founded Legal Summer during his 2L year at Illinois Law in 2008; he recently relaunched the site and is looking forward to helping law students like you find legal employment.
Has anyone used this system yet? I'd love to hear about your experiences!

LegalSummer.com has helped countless classmates of mine find worthwhile legal employment. In as bad of a recession as the legal field was experiencing when Mr. Amoa founded this company, it should be hailed as exactly what it is: an opportunity for many law students to exhale.

Not used this yet but I so appreciate the thinking behind this – definitely a benefit some kind of job hub for law students alone…about time.
