Remember when we talked about how many law professors it takes to run a country? Well we can add one more to the list.
Harvard Law School Dean Elena Kagan has been nominated by President-elect Obama as the next US Solicitor General. If confirmed, Kagan would be the first woman to permanently hold the position. She was also Harvard Law's first female dean.
The Solicitor General advocates for the administration before the Supreme Court, and the position is often a step on the way to a Supreme Court nomination.
