Want to Practice Internet Law?

From Michelle Fabio, About.com GuideOctober 27, 2008

If you're reading this, you probably know your way around the Internet--perhaps even so well that you'd like to pursue a career in Internet law. Before you send in law school applications based on that interest, though, be sure to read the sage advice of UCLA School of Law Professor Eugene Volokh at The Volokh Conspiracy.

Among other great advice, Professor Volokh warns that Internet law as you know it may not be what the actual practice of it involves, so keep your options open and don't choose a law school solely based on the specializations it offers; the professor also gives tips on how to prepare for law school, including taking writing courses, which I've written about before in Preparing for Law School from Undergrad: Recommended Undergraduate Courses.
